Photographer's note: This construction spans two blocks bounds by Armagh Street, Oxford Terrace, Cathedral Square and Colombo Street. This is managed by crown rebuild agency Ōtākaro Limited and built by CPB Contractors. Developing Convention Centre.

Images of the people, communities and landscape of Christchurch central city, taken by Thomas Herman, between March and September 2018. The Four Avenues project was a collaboration between Christchurch City Libraries and the University of Canterbury, School of Fine Arts to create a documentary photographic record of the wider central city area.
