Portrait in antique shop

Framed painting by French artist Laurent Joseph Olivier hanging in a shop. The portrait is of Justine Delcour and was painted in 1844.

Title supplied by library. Appeared with article: [Frame 22] ‘Antiques, curios... and just plain junk’, The Christchurch Star, Saturday, 4 September 1971, p.7. Newspaper caption: Someone once treasured this portrait, now hanging in a city shop. She was put on canvas in 1844 and so can honestly claim to be antique.
