A collection of negatives recording family events and outings in Christchurch and Canterbury in the 1930s and 1940s. The Vinicombe family arrived in New Zealand in the 1920s.

Biographical Note
The Vinicombe family: Frank, Fred, Sylvie, Hettie, Margaret and Thomas, are all siblings. None of them married, except Thomas to Ethel, who were the parents of Doreen and Audrey. Most of the photos were taken by Fred, and Doreen and Audrey used to get taken on trips with their aunts and uncles, often without Ethel and Thomas.
