Letter to William Trethewey, 1 March 1923
A letter from the Dr Cruickshank Memorial Committee, in Waimate, to William Trethewey, in 73 Linwood Avenue, Christchurch in 1923. The letter states that even though Mr Trethewey received public recognition for his work on the Dr Margaret Cruickshank Memorial, the Committee wanted to express their gratitude and how the relatives of the late doctor as well as people who met her has said that the statue is a true representation of Dr Cruickshank and they all thought the workmanship was splendid. The letter ends by saying that the committee members will be interested and pleased to hear of further advancement in his art.
