Description
Cycling gave women a new sense of freedom. It enabled social connection, encouraged more practical dress, and provided an avenue for recreation. The safety bicycle expanded women’s worlds.
Today Christchurch is in a cycling resurgence and women cycle for transport, adventure and to compete at the highest levels. We do so with freedoms and rights our foremothers could only dream of.
