Along Ferry Road

Ferry Road has always been a very important part of Christchurch. Beginning as a major transportation route for goods to Christchurch that came into Lyttelton, to being the back bone of a major industrial area, it has seen many changes and developments since the 1850s. Ferry Road continues to be very busy to this day with multiple commercial sections at Ferrymead, Woolston Village and Phillipstown and connects the city to Sumner.
