St Augustine's Anglican Church roll of honour
In St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Cashmere, there is a roll of honour with names of Cashmere men who served in the First World War.
The roll of honour at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Cashmere, is located on the wall by the main entrance door. It lists those who served in the First World War. Some of the men attended St. Augustine's Church, most lived in Cashmere at some stage.
Those mentioned on the list who are known to have died during the war are: James Alexander Terras Bell; Thomas Edward Currie; John Michael Winter Evans; Edmund Lincoln Gale; Ralph Jocelyn Gale; Charles Hugh Fendall Hamilton; Willard Whitmore Isitt; William John Mansell; George Cuthbert Mayne; Louis Albert McLean; Albert Robert Stemmer; Henry Eugene Voyce; John Reginald Wait; Francis Maxwell Way; Pearce Harman Way.
A roll of honour at St. Augustine's was mentioned in The Press, but this was only in 1915, so a new one must have been created at the end of the First World War.
